Edward Patz
Chief Executive Officer Grid Therapeutics
Edward Patz is a co-founder and CEO of Grid Therapeutics. For over 25 years, Dr. Patz was a clinical radiologist and led a basic science laboratory at Duke University Medical Center focused on lung cancer biology and early cancer detection.
Dr. Patz is a member of the Fleischner Society, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), and the Society of Thoracic Radiology. He holds a BS in physics from Duke University, was a researcher in High Energy Physics at Harvard University and received his MD at the University of Maryland. He was the James and Alice Chen Distinguished Professor of Radiology, Professor in Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, and Professor in Pathology at Duke. Prior to that he served on the faculty at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2022, Dr. Patz received The Joseph W. Cullen Prevention/Early Detection Award that recognizes an IASLC scientist for a lifetime achievement in the prevention of thoracic malignancies.
