Kelly Loyet

Director & Distinguished Scientist Genentech

Kelly is a Director and Distinguished Scientist at Genentech, where she leads the bioanalytical group within Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology. She has more than 20 years of experience in complement-related research and in developing biochemical, cell-based, and bioanalytical assays to characterize the pharmacology and mechanisms of action of biologics. Her work has supported the advancement of more than 20 molecules into early development. She began her Genentech career as a postdoctoral fellow in Protein Chemistry. Kelly holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign.
